COMPOSITE DOOR DISCOLORATION

WE CAN FIX IT!

Although composite doors are not supposed to fade we are being asked to restore or recolour these doors more frequently. If the colour on your door has faded, discoloured, cracked or peeled we can bring it back to life!

We start by removing your door and then the handles, letterbox, door knocker, spy hole etc. The door is laid flat on a turntable, cleaned down and then sanded. The dust is blown off with compressed air and then a final clean is carried out with a strong solvent based cleaner.

All areas not being sprayed are masked up. We use a 2k polyurethane lacquer to spray your composite door. A light dust coat is applied initially. If any contaminants remain on the surface this will cause the to paint to adversely react indicating further cleaning is required. When the initial dust coat has dried without reaction a further 2-3 coats are applied.

The paint dries quickly and in normal conditions we can remove the masking tape and paper after 20-30 minutes allowing us to refit the door furniture.

The door is then carefully fixed back in place. A final clean down and it looks brand new again!

CAN YOU SPRAY OUR COMPOSITE DOOR A DIFFERENT COLOUR?

Yes we can.You can choose practically any colour.  We can colour match to all RAL and British Standard colours and most colours from the main paint manufacturers.
